A perspective of generations in the East Neuk Fishing Industry

Following generations of fishermen from the young men doing it today to the people who have been doing it all their life to those looking back. This project will be looking at the generations from their perspective – Why do they fish, and what is it like? the freedom it provides, the love of the sea, the respect for it and the moments that inspire them.

Fishing has been a prominent part of the East Neuk with every village in the area full of boats and fishermen, over the years this has reduced to the only operating harbour in Pittenweem.

This will be released in August 2023 as Youtube and Podcast series and Exhibited in venues throughout the East Neuk of Fife.
